The Hand-Held Unit for either tank cars, stationary tanks and cargo tanks allows the user to monitor the tanks during and shortly after a fill cycle. For most users, this will be sufficient. The probe assembly, probe wiring, ground wiring and connectors will be permanently installed on the tank.
The Hand-Held Unit will be portable.
Prior to loading, the user will bring the Hand-Held Unit to the loading station,
plug in connectors and start monitoring. When the fill is complete, the user will stop monitoring and disconnect the connectors. The user will then carry the Hand-Held Unit in the vicinity of the laptop and wireless communication data transfer will begin. Shortly after, the user will be informed with a screen display on the laptop of the lining integrity. The user can upload the data from the laptop to the web site when
convenient.
