The Permanently Installed Unit for either tank cars, stationary tanks and cargo tanks allows the user to monitor the tanks on a more continuous basis and not only during the fill cycle. The Permanently Installed Unit, probe assembly, probe wiring, ground wiring and connectors will be permanently installed on the tank.
The Permanently Installed Unit will be monitoring the tank lining integrity 24/7. The user will bring the Laptop computer in close vicinity to the Permanently Installed Unit and wireless communication data transfer will begin. The user can view the real time readings on the laptop screen and make a determination of the liner integrity. Wireless data communication will cease when the laptop is out of range of the Permanently Installed Unit. The user can upload the data from the laptop to the web site when
convenient.
